Nine Dead | Rotten Tomatoes (1) Charlie Lyne Ultra Culture It's a fairly transparent attempt by Hart to shake off her Nickelodeon past, climaxing in a visceral flashback sequence in which she beats a rapist to death with a baseball bat. Jul 8, 2013 Full Review Read all reviews

Dave C A bad example of what's been done in a similar vane before. Atrocious acting, a loose premise, and poor timeline management through directing and script Rated 1.5/5 Stars • Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 10/29/23 Full Review jorge g Classic example of a really terrible film, that is so bad that it makes it good! Haven't had such fun with an atrocious movie in a long time. It's a low-budget Saw clone, with horrible acting (except for the guys who play Eddie and Coogan) and equally awful dialogue. Give it a go if you bump into it, just for fun! Rated 1/5 Stars • Rated 1 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Under the facade of a movie like Saw, Nine Dead is actually just a crime story with the quality of a random CAI episode. The worst part:It's 99% just tell, no show. Rated 1.5/5 Stars • Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Audience Member It started with a interesting premise but failed to build up enough tension. Acting skills weren't the greatest, with some exceptions. Rated 3/5 Stars • Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Audience Member I would say *SPOILERS AHEAD* but this film is so transparent, there's no way to spoil it. So, 9 people must figure out why they have been taken to a murder room, a la Saw 2013. The actors by and large are what you might expect in a lower budget movie, not the worst, but by no means good. MJ Heart though.....being the only one with years of on-screen practice, you would think she'd be slightly better, but if anything, she was the worst of all. The dialogue is mealy and unnecessarily expositional most of the time which kills any hope of suspending disbelief. Im uncertain whether the writer intended for all of the characters to be irredeemably unpleasant, but they certainly were. The trouble with that is, the viewer is left with nobody to root for. If the characters are so completely irredeemably awful, why would the viewer root for their survival? Sometimes these Kinds of plots invite you to subconsciously root for the ‘anti-hero' but the script and screen play left no room for this either, as the ‘villain/anti-hero' remains "unknown" (even if you do guess it fairly early on) until the final minutes, leaving no lasting impression or impact on the audience to create that Walter White/Heisenberg type magic, where the viewer begins to identify with the "bad guy" and realise that we all have that little part of us that might just be capable of doing the truly obscene given the chance. All in all, this movie leaves 9 dead, and anyone watching 83 minutes closer to it with very little to show for it. Rated 1/5 Stars • Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/20/23 Full Review Audience Member It's an alright movie and plot but the ending sucks so bad I have to give it a 1 star. If the ending wasn't so bad it'd be 3.5 Rated 1/5 Stars • Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/18/23 Full Review Read all reviews
